An unpretentious Ballard staple since 1953. Cold beer, fresh fish & chips, and the legendary oversized mug that built our reputation.

Honest food for hungry sailors, locals, and visitors alike.

Freshly caught cod, panko-crusted, served with thick-cut fries and house-made tartar sauce.

The original 34oz glass. Choose from 9 rotating local and international taps. Not for the faint of heart.

1/2 lb hand-pressed beef patty, sharp cheddar, grilled onions, and our secret sloop sauce.

Tucked between the locks and the fishing fleet, The Sloop has been the gathering place for Ballard's fishermen, longshoremen, neighbors, and the curious passers-by since the year Eisenhower took office. No craft cocktails. No reservations. Just a wood-paneled room, a long bar, and a 34oz mug with your name on it.
